ABOUT THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF ATLANTA

Children’s Museum of Atlanta, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), is the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta, that opened in 2003. The Fundamentally Food exhibit takes children on a journey from our “Georgia Farm” to the Museum Cafe, with a stop at the CMA “Grocery Store”.  The exhibition opened in 2015 after CMA underwent a major renovation.  The “Georgia Farm” was designed with feedback from the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Georgia Organics, and other groups such as the Georgia Peach Growers Association. Fundamentally Food is one of the most popular exhibits in the Museum. Through community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and exhibits designed for children ages 0–8, the Museum strives to spark every child’s imagination, sense of discovery, and learning through the power of play.
