For many farmers and landowners, finding reputable organizations that can meet their agricultural needs is a key challenge. This panel discussion will showcase agribusinesses, organizations, and cooperatives that are making a significant impact in the Southern region. These groups offer the experience, expertise, and resources to support farmers, landowners, and community gardeners. Panelists will include Darren Beachem from the Alabama State of Cooperatives/Federation of Southern Cooperatives (AL), Cathy Walker from the American Community Garden Association (National), Rockiell Woods from the Mississippi Delta Council for Farm Workers Opportunities (MS), and Sue Beckwith from the Texas Center for Local Food (TX). Facilitated by E'licia L. Chaverest of Alabama A&M, the discussion will also provide tips on identifying trustworthy outreach providers.
