Meg Darnell brings a wealth of experience in sustainable agriculture, food systems, and business management to her role at Georgia Organics. With nearly a decade of experience raising pastured poultry and operating Community Meat Co., a sustainable meat CSA in Athens, GA, Meg has a deep understanding of small-scale, regenerative farming. She has also worked for three collective years on Certified Organic diversified vegetable farms.
Meg holds a bachelor's degree in Food & Consumer Science and is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association. Her background includes over 15 years in the restaurant industry—twice serving as a General Manager—as well as administrative and project management experience at her husband's woodworking business, Oneta Woodworks.
Beyond her passion for regenerative agriculture, Meg enjoys hot yoga, playing tennis, and going on adventures with her husband and daughter.
