Allie Berry is an emerging professional in environmental health at the University of Virginia, currently working a Sustainability Manager with UVA Dine. With a strong foundation in food systems and health equity, Allie has made an impact in increasing the purchase of responsibly and locally sourced foods, promoting climate-friendly menus, and engaging the UVA student community around sustainable food systems.
In 2023, Allie graduated from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a master's in environmental health and engineering, focusing her thesis on risk management options for farmers and ranchers exploring regenerative practices, and how farm policy could adjust to accommodate conservation programs. Allie has been recognized for climate and health leadership by the American Public Health Association, Center for a Livable Future, and the University of Virginia.
When she isn't talking to folks about sustainable food, Allie enjoys crocheting and cycling around Charlottesville.
