Handy Kennedy a fourth generation Georgia farmer, in which the legacy of the family farm started in 1869 in Cobbtown. The of 10th of twelve children, he joined the U.S Army after high school for eight years. After completing his tour of duty, he attended college receiving an engineering degree. After graduating from college, he relocated to Louisiana. In 2005 he moved back to Georgia to pursue one of his true passions working on the family farm. Where he transformed the family farm from just selling commodities to recreational activities, STEM programs for high school students, and building an Event Center.

Handy Kennedy is one of the founders of AgriUnity, LLC. The organization was created to address the decline of African American Farmers and Ranchers. The mission is to provide solutions to enhance the limited /lack of access to a variety of markets to sell their commodities throughout the Southeast United States.
