Ms. Skelton is a Research Strategy and Project Specialist at the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, working in the fields of community health and engagement, research recruitment and retention, and health equity. She holds an MPH in Global Health and Community Health Development from Emory University, along with a BS in Microbiology and a BS in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Idaho. Ms. Skelton has a vast skillset from lived experience and work experience in research, community outreach, education, and collaboration. Ms. Skelton has previously held roles research positions at the Grieshaber Laboratory at the University of Idaho, the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center, the WWAMI Idaho Office for Underserved and Rural Research Center, and the North Idaho Area Health Center. She was also a Fellow at the Emory Urban Health Initiative, where she reenergized and continues to be the Managing Director for Sprouting Readers- a collaborative community partnership program that encourages young people to love reading and learning, while supporting and empowering young students to reach their full potential in the classroom and in their lives. Beyond work, Caitlin is an avid outdoorswoman, enjoying hiking, skiing, camping, biking, and gardening. Caitlin also loves reading and has a joy for education, highly encouraged by her educator mom and Nana.
