Description

Many people want to support their community and be involved, but they do not know where to start, who to contact, what is needed, and where to get funding for these programs. Our workshop is geared towards these questions, while using our program as an example and template for others. Sprouting ReadersĀ© is a collaborative, community-based program designed to promote a love for reading and learning among young people and empower them to achieve their full potential. We will provide opportunities to think about the starting pieces of your program. Then we will consider how to tailor your program to meet the community's needs. Next, we will transition into how to look for grant funding, how to write a grant, and considerations for what grant funding entails. We will end by providing resources that Sprouting Readers has created.
