In this session, service providers will learn about innovative strategies to address farmland loss and improve access for new and beginning farmers. Discover approaches to protect land owned by widows, elder women, and daughters inheriting farms, and explore models that connect women with vital conservation, economic, and legal resources. This session will also highlight methods to support beginning farmers through skill-building courses and farm incubator programs, helping them gain experience and capital to eventually acquire their own farms. Learn how these strategies can sustain farmland and strengthen local food systems.
