Creating Culturally Grounded Youth Experiences explores the development and implementation of farm to school programs that aim to honor the cultural histories of students by teaching growing and cooking skills rooted in their ancestral traditions. Attendees will learn the historical significance of Afro-Indigenous agricultural techniques, how to incorporate these practices into educational gardens, and the benefits of such an approach in fostering a sense of identity and community among students.
