Shana Scott is a public health leader that has worked at the intersection of public health, law, community advocacy and policy for almost 20 years. Shana currently serves as the Vice Present of Health and Community Impact with the Atlanta Metro American Heart Association. Prior to the Association, she served as Director of Compliance for Barnes Healthcare Services and for over 5 years as the Deputy Director of the Office of Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change in the Chronic Disease Prevention Section at the Georgia Department of Public Health. In that role, Shana worked alongside state leaders, elected officials, health system leaders and department of public health directors across the State of Georgia to develop and implement sustainable outcome measures for Georgia’s citizens.
