Anna Scheyett is Professor in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Social Work at the University of Georgia. Her work examines issues related to the community well-being of vulnerable populations, including individuals with mental illness and rural populations at risk of stress and suicide. Her recent work has examined farmer suicide rates in Georgia, and she is collaborating with Cooperative Extension within the Colleges of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Family and Consumer Sciences on community outreach to farmers and farm families for suicide and stress prevention and intervention.
