Gary Granata is a subsistence farmer, nutritionist and sports scientist that shares stories of the food he grows, cooks, and travels the world to taste and explore. He has explored the Mississippi, Mekong Delta, and Amazon River, and also did a virtual exploration of the Danube and the Salmon Rivers of the world during the pandemic. He earned his PhD at Georgia State in the 1990s and is intimately aware of the many factors that present challenges to those living along the Chattahoochee and the impacts that threaten the Apalachicola Bay and its distinctive, and now endangered oysters.
