Dr. Hannah Talton is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Plant Pathology and Integrated Pest Management at North Carolina A&T State University. Dr. Talton built her foundation at North Carolina A&T State University graduating with her degree in Urban and Community Horticulture in 2017, Dr. Talton further honed their expertise at the University of Florida, where she earned a Master’s in Entomology and Nematology in 2019 and a Doctor of Plant Medicine degree in Fall of 2022. Before joining the faculty at NCA&T, Dr. Talton gained valuable industry experience, which now informs her comprehensive approach to managing plant diseases and insect pests in agricultural settings. Dedicated to advancing sustainable pest management practices, Dr. Talton will develop educational programs and resources that empower farmers, extension agents, and community growers to adopt effective, science-based IPM strategies.
