Konda Mason is a social entrepreneur, earth and social justice activist, finance activist, farmer and mindfulness teacher. She is the Founder and President of Jubilee Justice, Inc, a nonprofit working to bring climate resilient farming and economic equity to Black farmers in the rural South in order to create thriving Black farming communities and shared prosperity via cooperative economics. Jubilee Justice also convenes transformational learning journeys across race and class exploring conversations at the intersection of Land, Race, Money & Spirit.
Along with Mark Watson, Konda is the Co-founder of Potlikker Capital, a charitable loan fund specially designed to deploy “reparative” capital to farmers of color. Konda is the Strategic Director of RUNWAY, a financial innovation firm committed to dismantling systemic barriers and reimagining financial policies and practices — all in the name of Black liberation. Konda’s passion to close the racial wealth divide has manifested as the Co-founder of the COCAP (Community Capital) conference in Oakland as well as the Co-founder of Impact Hub Oakland, a co-working space that provided opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive.
Along with her partner, actor Woody Harrleson, Konda opened the first home delivery service of organic food in the Los Angeles area and negotiated the first organic food section in a major supermarket in the area. Konda holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from Commonweal Institute and has an honorary MBA from Presidio Graduate School of Business. Konda is also a certified Mindfulness teacher and teaches at retreats throughout the country. She sits on the Board of Directors of Krista Tippett’s OnBeing Studios, Soul Fire Farm and Clayborn Temple in Memphis, TN. Konda lives in Louisiana along the banks of the bayou.
