Dr. Gemma Wenner, has extensive experience teaching hospitality/tourism and culinary arts courses, in organizing agricultural themed festivals (onions and coconuts) as well as operating and managing franchise restaurants, an Airbnb villa, and a horticultural produce farm. Dr. Wenner has over 30-years combined professional and business experience.
In February 2024, Dr. Wenner created a community cooperative garden in Estate Frydenhoj, located on the eastern end of St. Thomas, USVI which has 12-active members cultivating in one acre of land. This is the first private cooperative garden organized in the territory. Wenner Hills Cooperative Garden, has been well received and has gathered media attention and institutional interest.
