Trained as anthropologist, Jennifer Jo Thompson is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Crop & Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia. Her inter- and transdisciplinary research and teaching focuses on the social sustainability of agriculture and food systems—from applied efforts aimed at supporting farmers’ use of agroecological practices, to those focused on expanding equity, justice, and participation in community food systems and in food systems education.
