With a relevant background in Crops, Soils, and Environmental Sciences, Dari brings extensive academic training and interdisciplinary expertise in advancing organic and ecological agricultural systems. His research and extension work focuses on developing soil- and climate-resilient cropping systems, including organic management practices, to enhance soil health, conserve natural resources, and promote ecosystem services such as improved soil fertility and nutrient cycling. Currently, he is leading and co-leading multiple initiatives, including USDA-NRCS Climate-Smart Commodities projects, USDA-AFRI Bioeconomy projects, and USDA-ORG and USDA-OREI-funded projects, to support organic farming management systems, advance climate-resilient practices, and expand the science of organic agriculture. c
As a faculty member at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), Dari is dedicated to fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including underserved and limited-resource farming communities, to improve access to sustainable agricultural practices. His career goals align with his commitment to advancing knowledge exchange by creating opportunities for researchers, educators, and practitioners to share innovative ideas, research findings, and best practices in climate-resilient agriculture and farming.
