My name is Leroy Conish. I am an African American Farmer and real estate developer. My wife, Gail Honore Conish, and I purchased 40-acres in Vacherie, LA., Saint James Parish better known as "Cancer Alley". We began farming and fighting for social, economic, and environmental justice. Our farm, River Road Farm provides fresh produce for our community and serve as an education outlet to other farmers in the area by providing workshops on sustainability and marketing. We work with non-profits and other like-minded organizations to create food systems that help to provide food security to marginalized communities.
