Danielle Adamson serves as the Early Care and Education (ECE) Project Director at HealthMPowers, where she works with state and local stakeholders to lead and advance programs and initiatives designed to improve equitable access to nutrition and physical activity for Georgia’s youngest children, families, and communities.
With over a decade of experience in ECE, Danielle has led national, state, and local programs and initiatives focused on health and wellness, early literacy, and family engagement for children, families, and educators.
Starting her career as a state-certified preschool teacher, her content expertise has informed programs, initiatives, and resources for:
• United States (U.S.) Department of Education,
• Sesame Street,
• Smithsonian Institution, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture, National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of American History, and National Zoo,
• Robert Wood Johnson Foundation,
• Clinton Global Initiative,
• White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans,
• Scholastic,
• National Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and
• First Book among others.
Currently, Danielle serves as the national ECE advisor and an inaugural member of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Equity Collective, a coalition of health leaders setting new standards of health and wellness across the United States.
Danielle holds a dual Masters of Science degree in Early Childhood General & Special Education, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in social justice-based education.
