Name
Tools and Networks for Farmers of Color
Date & Time
Thursday, February 6, 2025, 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM
Description
The Foundation for Community Impact and Health Equity equips farmers with agribusiness training and resources to support their production and transition to sustainable practices. Walker, experienced in connecting producers with these resources, aims to engage attendees to amplify the organization's impact. Meanwhile, RAFI established the Farmers of Color Network in 2017 to support and increase the number of farmers of color in the Southeast U.S., lower mid-Atlantic, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. The Network offers technical assistance and hosts events that celebrate ancestral traditions while exploring market solutions. Farmers of color are encouraged to attend this session to learn how these organizations can benefit your farm and expand your network.
