While policy impacts farmers and farms, it is often removed from the day to day work. Sprout and New Orleans Food Policy Action Council will share how they engaged farmers in Farm Bill work- from a traveling listening session to a DC fly-in. Learn how to form trusting relationships between advocacy non-profits and farmers and how to help farmers and growers form their own relationships with policymakers. Policy is meant to be opaque- learn how we worked to bring the process to light for farmers and farming communities.
